Are you an HRIS and benefits expert looking to make an impact in a fast-growing, innovative education environment? Pearson Virtual Schools (PVS) is seeking an HRIS/Benefits Specialist to manage our HR systems, reporting, and employee benefits programs.

Key Responsibilities: HRIS Management:

  • Maintain and manage the HRIS system (UKG), ensuring accurate employee data and system functionality.

  • Manage roles, permissions, and security settings for system users.

  • Create, generate, and schedule reports using Cognos to support HR and business functions.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues, liaising with software vendors to resolve problems.

  • Administer the performance review cycle, processing system updates and ensuring smooth execution.

  • Conduct regular audits of workflows, ensuring efficiency and data accuracy.

  • Develop and deliver training for employees and managers on new HRIS features.

Benefits Administration:

  • Oversee health and wellness plans, ensuring compliance with state-specific requirements.

  • Support 401(k), HSA, and FSA reconciliations, as well as ACA reporting and vendor invoicing.

  • Manage benefits enrolment, life events processing, and dependent documentation reviews.

  • Process PTO updates, annual refreshes, pay-outs, and employee queries.

  • Ensure timely and accurate final pay processing for benefits following employee terminations.

  • Maintain benefits-related content on company intranet and virtual resource platforms.

  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of the annual open enrolment process.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Demonstrable experience in HRIS and benefits experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience working with external vendors, payroll teams, and benefits specialists.

  • Ability to analyze data, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure compliance with HR policies.
