Description We are in search of a Director of Accounting to join our team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be charged with the task of managing general ledger activities, implementing and ensuring adherence to internal financial and accounting policies, and supervising the accounting staff. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity in the finance industry.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and guide the accounting team to ensure seamless department operations.

• Oversee all general ledger activities within the organization.

• Develop and implement internal financial and accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance.

• Regularly interact with external auditors, managing audit and review processes.

• Provide support in managing and facilitating budgeting and forecasting activities.

• Analyze past, present, and expected financial operations to identify potential opportunities and areas needing improvement.

• Evaluate and manage financial systems, proposing improvements as necessary.

• Maintain an updated knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, as well as federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.

• Ensure the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements to ascertain their accuracy and completeness. Requirements • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with BlackLine application

• Knowledge of Concur software

• Ability to use CRM platforms effectively

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions

• Prior experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Demonstrated skills in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in conducting Auditing

• Solid understanding of Budget Processes
