Job Description
Collaborate with engineering staff to assist in the preparation, editing, and execution of design documentation in native PLM and PDM systems. Responsible for generating technical documents, verifying their accuracy, and preparing the first draft of change orders for engineering review and submittal. Ancillary duties may include data entry/correction, pivot tables, and high-level data analysis. This role is critical to the success of the engineering team's operations and requires an individual ready to work immediately and increase productivity. The ideal candidate can work remotely, in-office, or in a hybrid setup, and can remote into the network via VPN. The role involves working with SolidWorks models, creating assembly drawings with the Engineering Manager, and completing about 90% of the assembly drawings before passing them off to the Engineer for final review. The role is part-time with hours varying based on need.
Hard Skills
2+ years of experience in technical documentation roles
Experience in SOLIDWORKS PDM or similar PDM systems
Experience in Arena or similar PLM systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced, Pivot Tables, etc.)
Soft Skills
High attention to detail
Flexibility to work varying hours
Job Type
This is a contract position with a duration of 3 Month(s). Role will be part-time with hours ranging from 15-25 some weeks, and 5-15 other weeks, varying based on need.
Work Site
This is a on-site position in Austin, Texas.
Work Environment
Urban industrial office space, about to move to a new 65,000 Sq. Ft building in South Austin.
