Bring passion and dedication to your job and there’s no telling what you could accomplish. The Apple Pay Program team is looking for an experienced project manager to drive Apple Pay projects. We deliver integrated system solutions for Apple’s Payment Platform and work closely with a number of client and server engineering teams and , third-party integration partners. We live in a fast-paced matrix organization where you will need to scope and prepare projects from the beginning across multiple teams, handle documentation, effectively communicate project status, manage project risk, and drive continuous improvement. Description

As part of the Payment Platform Program team, you will be working closely with Wallet & Payments Services Engineering, Product, and multiple cross-functional teams within Apple, and external partners. You will have the opportunity to lead and facilitate cross-functional engineering discussions. Coordinate aspects of project information including timelines, resource allocation, scope definition, execution, all the way to launch. Assist management in assessing and prioritizing projects while actively seeking problem resolutions. Analyze data and report to management and others. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Support Infrastructure, Platform and capability initiatives, working directly with engineering managers and cross functional teams Lead all aspects of project information including timelines, resource allocation, scope and definition Lead multiple cross-functional projects by providing project leadership and daily management through project life cycle Identify inter-dependencies between the various partner groups to ensure all are aligned and risks are identified, mitigated and communicated Navigate and complete tasks in an environment of ambiguity and lead teams to the successful delivery of solutions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Results oriented, highly motivated and able to work under minimal supervision in a cross-functional environment at detailed levels whilst taking account of interdependencies at higher levels.

  • Strong background in system implementation project management using proven software development techniques.

  • Able to build a positive relationship with cross-functional internal organizations. Navigate and execute in an environment of ambiguity and lead teams to the successful delivery of solutions.

  • Degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience is highly desirable.

  • accordingly and positively.

  • Ability to participate in and facilitate requirements brainstorming sessions.

  • Effective decision-maker – balance risks and benefits for the overall good of Apple.

  • Proven past in technical and engineering project delivery.

  • Ability to review and provide feedback on technical specifications, taking into account external and internal feedback

  • Strong technical knowledge to be able to diagnose and drive bugs and issues to completion

  • Familiarity of Software Development Lifecycle planning
