Amazon Principal TPM, Audio & Podcast Advertising in Austin, Texas

Description

The Audio and Podcast advertising business is complex, serving many different publisher partners, consumer end points, and advertiser cohorts. We are on the precipice of scaled growth, moving to a multi-publisher tech platform, and evolving our products and selling motion to make our ad products relevant and easy to buy for all Amazon advertisers. You will help lead this transformation, working with engineering partners, Sales, Go-to-Market, and demand programs across Amazon Ads. You will also partner closely with publisher teams (Twitch, Amazon Music, Wondery) and influence consumer facing roadmaps to align on monetization opportunities.

Strong partnership with multiple product, business, and technology teams across Amazon is critical to success in this role. This role will require you to drive alignment and make high-judgment decisions including difficult tradeoffs with implications beyond your own teams. The successful candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven, and have the ability to deliver high quality results in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for decisive leader who is customer-obsessed with sharp business acumen, a track record of building alignment across functional organizations and leadership, and a knack for easily identifying customer pain points and how to address them with scalable solutions. An ideal candidate should be able to flex between technical programs with different engineering teams, and collaboration with more business-oriented teams (e.g., analytics).

Key job responsibilities

1) Own successful delivery of large, high impact and highly cross-functional product initiatives while simultaneously and accurately tracking a set of smaller projects

2) Drive strategic cross-functional planning, leading discovery and prioritization by closely partnering with product managers and engineering leads to develop program plans that include roadmaps, dependency identifications, and resourcing plans

3) Communicate clearly and effectively to executive management on plans, status, and critical issues

4) Identify opportunities to improve business operations from supply management, deal creation, go-to-market, campaign delivery, and measurement

5) Partner as a technical liaison between publisher and engineering teams

About the team

This role will sit on the Audio and Podcast leadership team. We work to maximize ad revenue opportunities for Amazon and these unique entertainment publishers. We partner closely with product and program teams across Amazon to create ad supply, and with a multiple Ads teams to scale demand.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 5+ years of software development experience

  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong bias for action

  • • Strong business judgement

  • • Technically deep and business savvy enough to interface with all levels and disciplines within the organization

  • • Excellent written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives

  • • Proven ability to make smart trade-offs on time-to-market versus features.

  • • MBA or advanced degree in a related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
