Coordinate and perform purchasing and contracting for the department and research labs. Responsible for soliciting bids, securing specs, and presenting options for major purchases and contractual agreements for maintenance and services. This includes UT Market, PointPlus and departmental procurement card purchases. Serve as purchasing liaison with the Cockrell School Business Affairs Office, the university Office of Accounting, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and other outside entities. Act as purchasing expert to provide advice and information to ensure Faculty are fully aware of their purchasing options to adhere to UT and procurement policy.Serve as the departmental Procurement Card (Procard) holder. Manages all departmental Procard documentation for accuracy.Serve as the primary back-up for the Department of Biomedical Engineering's Post-Award Accountant and Accounts Payable Admin.Work with vendors and central University offices to complete the onboarding process including processing PIFs, direct deposit forms, and address updates.Other related functions as assigned.
