HID’s Quality Assurance Team:

The Quality Assurance team’s mission is to increase customer satisfaction by ensuring all products and services meet the needs, expectations, and requirements of our customers. Thorough, detail-oriented testing yields high-quality product offerings and contributes to continual growth for the company.

As our QA Inspector II, you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • Performing ISO testing of HID access control products, assemblies, subassemblies, components, parts and cards including functional, operational and destructive tests.

  • Performing cosmetic inspection of HID access control products, assemblies, subassemblies, components, parts and cards readers for surface defects such as chips, scratches, contamination, workmanship and physical damage.

  • Performing qualification tests and documents results using appropriate forms and templates.

  • Approving in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.

  • Conducting internal audits to ensure that all assembly, inspection, and testing steps were performed according to specifications.

  • Will be actively involved in our continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma), Preventive and Corrective Action, and Safety programs.

  • Working closely with cross functional teams such as engineering, and operations.

  • Reviewing drawings and specifications for HID access control products, assemblies, subassemblies, components, parts and cards, such that incoming inspection can be performed against those specifications.

  • Conducting HID RMA evaluation process for all HID access control product returns

    What we will love about your background:

  • Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, ISO requirements, instructions and procedures

  • Hands on experience with Lean manufacturing desirable.

  • Must be able to perform arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

  • Must be able to obtain security clearance as deemed necessary by HID Global

  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. weight, as needed.

  • Must be able to work a Thurs-Sun 10hr shift or Fri-Sun 12hr shift.

    Your Experience and Education include:

  • Must have H.S. education or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must have at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, including some experience in inspection. Experience in access control products desirable.
