Job Description

The Shipping Clerk accurately and safely distributes material internally and externally to the facility in an efficient and expeditious manner. The role is responsible for stocking, inventory management, and handling of all manufacturing materials. Responsibilities include accurate counting and shipping of materials, following written and verbal directions, and communicating effectively with team members both orally and in writing.

• Accurately handle transactions and physical movement of material to ship out

• Responsible for accurate inventory level management

• Maintain cycle counts and a clean warehouse

• Assist in all WIP movement and transactions

• Assist with shipping & packaging as needed

• May drive company truck and/or forklift

• Perform other duties as required

• Attendance is an essential duty of this position

This is a 1st shift position with a start time of 6 am-2:30PM

Skills and qualifications

  • MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IWTH MRP OR ERP SYSTEMS

  • Material handling of outgoing parts

  • Data entry of shipping or receiving parts information into MRP or ERP system

  • Computer skills

  • Picking and packaging

  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions

  • Effective communication with team members

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Manor, Texas.

Work Environment

Well lit, clean, ventilated/AC'd room. Ability to exert up to 45 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.

• Ability to move arms, hands, and fingers.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Prolonged standing and bending intermittently during work hours.

• Subject to frequent interruptions.

• Ability to move arms, hands, and fingers to type.

• Ability to sit or stand for sustained periods of time.

• Required to have visual acuity to perform assigned tasks.

• Close vision required.

Environmental Exposure:

• Subject to noise levels.

• Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.

• May involve exposure to noise hazard areas.

• Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals, and debris.

• Subject to hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat, or exposure to chemicals.

• Subject to hazards including working on ladders.

• Required to wear personal protective equipment.
