Job Title: Software Engineer

Job Description

Develop software that deploys and controls the different HIL benches. Participate in roadmap discussions to match software and hardware capabilities of the HIL benches. Plan software releases and deployments that fit the roadmap. Execute full software development lifecycle activities using C++ in an Agile Linux environment. Help interpret user requirements and specifications to create a proper software architecture. Recognize programming patterns and styles and follow them. Participate in test and validation of the HIL to ensure functionality. Use Git for deployment.

Hard Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer

• Proficient in C++

• Proficient in Linux

• Highly preferred embedded/hardware experience

• Experience with traditional Machine Vision

• Experience with companies that make sensors

• Experience with industrial applications

Soft Skills

• Ability to participate in roadmap discussions

• Ability to interpret user requirements and specifications

• Ability to recognize programming patterns and styles

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Austin, Texas.

Work Environment

Onsite setting every day. Consistent interaction with other teams in VA and CA. Will report to a manager in Canada.
