The City of Baker, Montana is accepting completed applications for the Position of Public Works Director. The applicant must possess the skills and experience necessary to operate heavy equipment used for repairs and maintenance of municipal street, water, sewer, refuse hauling systems as well as assist and direct strenuous labor performed, under at times, adverse weather conditions. Prior supervisory experience is desired and evaluated on a case by case basis. The applicant shall possess a valid Montana Class Ill water and wastewater operator certificates or be able to obtain aforementioned certificates within a reasonable time following hire. The applicant must possess a valid Montana commercial vehicle endorsement or be able to obtain the endorsement within three months of hire. Employment is also conditioned on negative tests results for drugs and alcohol use. Starting pay for the position is $30.71 per hour negotiable upon applicable education and or experience.
