Robert Half Administrative Assistant in Baltimore, Maryland
Description
We are offering a contract for an Administrative Assistant role in the Local Government industry, specifically located in Baltimore, Maryland. This role will involve a variety of tasks such as responding to customer inquiries, managing administrative duties, and supporting a dedicated parking program.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate efficient communication by answering departmental phones, logging calls and voicemails, and relaying all messages to departmental staff.
• Prioritize customer service by interacting with customers to answer questions, provide requested information, and track relevant issues or concerns.
• Conduct data management tasks by using computer software and programs to research and update as required.
• Support digital correspondence by responding to emails when instructed and required.
• Execute administrative duties such as preparing and creating address and file folder labels, and making copies of departmental forms and paperwork.
• Ensure accurate record keeping by preparing recordkeeping files for the department.
• Aid in mailing tasks by adhering address labels to envelopes and filling envelopes with RRDP materials.
• Conduct research to compile data and information as required.
• Maintain open communication with peers, the public, as well as management.
• Perform other assigned administrative tasks.
Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Experience with answering inbound and making outbound calls
• Ability to provide high-level customer service
• Skilled in data entry tasks
• Ability to handle email correspondence professionally and efficiently
• Experience with scheduling appointments
• Knowledge of local government operations is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
