Summary
The HR Tech & Reporting Analyst is an intermediate role within the HRT&R structure, primarily focused on supporting and maintaining the HCM system and other systems backed by the HRT&R team. This position serves as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas, assisting subject matter experts with designing and building business processes, ensuring data integrity, testing system changes, report writing, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. Additionally, the Analyst supports HCM system patching, testing, and other technical projects.

Responsibilities
Serve as the HR Technology partner supporting a variety of functional areas in Workday, such as Core HR, Benefits, Talent, Advanced Compensation, etc.
Evaluate releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use Workday
Design, configure, test, validate and implement Business Process changes in Workday
Analyze, design and build new custom reports using standard Workday reporting functionality (ex: Report Writer, Calculated Fields)
Ensure custom reports function as designed based on business requirements
Provide support for existing custom reports in Workday
Build and execute testing plans for integrations, security, annual events
Maintain master data values in Workday (ex: Job Profile, Job Family, Job Group, Roles, Custom Organization Types, Positions, Locations)
Serve as an escalation resource for Tier 2 & 3 issues
Provide input and knowledge sharing with Workday Team Leadership, Workday Team Members, and clients
Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training in order to improve policy and process acumen
Continuously increases general HR and HCM technology knowledge and improves policy and process acumen through scheduled and ad hoc training (e. g. classes, reading, webinars or other mechanisms)
Support for HCM system including, researching and resolving HCM system problems, unexpected results or process flaws
Performs scheduled activities, recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements
Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation
Serves as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g. payroll)
Writes, maintains, and supports a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools including Workday Report Writer, Microsoft Excel
Assists in the development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs
Maintains data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data
Develops user procedures, guidelines and documentation to train clients and new system users on processes/functionality
Maintains awareness of current trends in HCM Technology with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies
Participates in user group meetings/conferences

Desired Skills
Strong understanding of HR operations, processes and data, including condition rules and business processes to ensure correct implementation. Strong understanding of HCM system design, structure, functions, processes and experience with management tools. Experience with employee data management. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with HR clients, cross-functional colleagues and IT. Experience with an HCM platform such as Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle HCM Cloud. Proficiency in Workday HCM report writing (Workday Report Writer and Calculated Fields). Analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills. Ability to understand the business requirements, user needs and translate them into operational requirements. Ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proven ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy and with highly confidential data. Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills. Experience participating in system-related projects. Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the clients’ needs and situation. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Years of Experience
- 3 years' experience working with ERP system(s), particularly the benefits and payroll functionality.

Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Work Environment
The individual selected for this position may have the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement comprised of remote and in-office work, the requirement for which will be determined in coordination with the hiring manager or supervisor and may be modified in the firm’s discretion in the future.

The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $70,336 - $111,837 per year depending on the candidate’s geographic market location.
The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
