Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $24.98 an hour, increases to $29.16 after 12 months

What’s a typical day as a Maintenance Technician? You’ll be:

• Repairing, adjusting, or replacing structural parts of buildings, office, and laboratory furniture/apparatus such as doors, windows, partitions, ceilings, floors, roofs, animal cages, cabinets including door checks, locking devices, and hinges.

• Performing plumbing jobs such as adjustment and repair of pipes and plumbing fixtures, valves, floats, drains, grease traps, sump pumps, watering systems, air-conditioning units, freezers, refrigerators, hot water heaters, HVAC units, heat pumps, fan coil units, induction units, terminal reheat, and similar equipment.

• Unclogging drain lines and sewers.

• Making minor adjustments to building controls.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have experience in building maintenance and repair.

• Possess knowledge of plumbing systems and equipment.

• Are skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving.

• Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Are detail-oriented and have good time management skills.
