Description
This position will provide supporting proofreading and formatting documents for a higher ed group. This role involves proofreading for grammar, punctuation, and style, as well as formatting documents according to university guidelines and standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines, and skilled in Microsoft Office and other formatting tools.
This is a very short-term project and involves working on a few large legal documents.
Key Responsibilities:
Proofread academic, administrative, and public-facing documents for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
Ensure consistent application of university style guide across documents.
Format documents, including reports, manuals, and presentations, to meet university design and branding standards.
Collaborate with faculty and administrative staff to understand document requirements.
Track document revisions and maintain accurate records of changes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or related field (preferred).
Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with style guides (e.g., APA, MLA) and formatting software is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
