Aerotek Welder in Baltimore, Maryland

Aluminum Welder

We are seeking a skilled welder to join our team. The primary focus will be welding steel and aluminum, with an emphasis on MIG welding. You will also engage in basic metal fabrication, reading blueprints, and utilizing various hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, and sanders.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on steel and aluminum materials.

  • Conduct basic metal fabrication tasks.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.

  • Utilize hand and power tools including drills, grinders, and sanders.

  • Collaborate effectively within a highly collaborative team environment.

  • Maintain high standards and a commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Prioritize tasks and manage a schedule in a fast-paced environment.

  • Apply excellent problem-solving skills to daily tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with steel and aluminum welding, including MIG welding.

  • Experience welding in the aerospace, automotive, or marine industry.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and work instructions.

  • Math skills and proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers or tape measures.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with TIG welding.

  • Experience on other highly technical welding projects.

  • Experience operating forklifts and other material handling systems.

Work Environment

You will work in a brand new, very clean and open manufacturing site with designated areas for assembly, welding, and warehouse operations. The work schedule is 1st shift, from 5am to 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $48.00
