You Engineering Manager are responsible for managing multiple scrum teams working across different products spanning across all phases of software development life cycle. and will be located in Bangalore Location on Hybrid Model.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

The ideal candidate would be an experienced Software manager with high sense of Ownership, ability to introduce new initiatives and with a continuous improvement mind set.

  • People management of multiple teams of (Senior) Software Engineers & (Senior) Quality Engineers and Team Leads

  • Provide input for career development, hire & fire decisions.

  • Help to define priorities.

  • Coach personal development of (Senior) Software Engineers and (Senior) Quality Engineers.

  • Evaluations of (Senior) Software Engineers and (Senior) Quality Engineers.

  • Coach (Senior) Quality Engineers in making test plans and follow up on execution of tests and test coverage.

  • Coach multiple teams in software development.

  • Hands On Technical project management.

  • Reporting progress of software development and testing. Manage the critical path (timeliness) and quality of the project.

  • Plan & implement projects (new development and maintenance), follows-up on a regular basis and initiates corrective actions.

  • Take technical decisions.

  • Review specifications.

  • Help creating and review user stories and technical specifications.

  • Help to define development priorities.

  • Define specific software engineering tasks and follow up on their execution.

  • Coordinate interaction of his team with other teams/groups/functions.

  • Manage stakeholder expectations by taking ownership of scope of work, release schedules and product quality.

  • Help creating, implementing, executing and guarding optimized processes, policies and procedures

The essential requirements of the job include: ​Education: Bachelors / master’s degree in engineering relevant to Software Engineering or equivalent

  • Minimum 16 years of software development experience of which atleast 4+ years of in a manager role, leading software engineering teams

  • Should have hands on development experience with cloud, web and desktop applications

  • Experience in people management and collaboration across teams in a global environment

  • Language(s): English verbal and written skills

  • Good communication skills (Verbal + Written)

  • Cloud / AWS Certifications are a plus

Nice to have skills & background:

  • Background or knowledge of the graphical market is an asset; in particular knowledge of Esko products

  • Proficiency in any other foreign language

  • Willingness to travel

  • Peoples person

  • A technical mindset with great attention to detail

  • Flexible, willing to “go the extra mile” while at the same time being an agile and fast learner

  • Result oriented with strong self-management skills

  • Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment

  • Able to stay calm, friendly, a team player, and able to demonstrate good composure when handling complicated problems

  • Very good sense of ownership

  • Effective and Clear Communicator, asking right questions, actively listen and ability to collect right inputs
