Responsibilities
The chosen candidate will play the following roles and take on the below responsibilities.
As enterprise solution architect, engage with clients -
Design and develop Solution Architecture by systematically analysing various portfolio of applications.
As a Solution Architect you will be the technical lead for our digitalization projects. You will need to: Have growth mindset, learning and evolving through technological challenges.
Be the technical architect and design the implementation solution in line with customer needs, derives specification, scope of work and technical deliverables to the customer.
Identifies portfolio gaps (not covering customer’s needs) and able to define requirements and solution architecture/design for portfolio amendment to fill the gaps.
Support project management activities, resource monitoring, technical risk identification & mitigations, participate in project reviews with management.
Lead the strategy and architecture of transforming large enterprise scale applications across multiple industries from legacy implementation to modern architecture and tech stacks.
Lead architect role with in-depth portfolio related technology specialization to build quality enterprise solutions that meet the requirements and advises clients on Kyndryl Solution offerings, strategy, designs, specific technologies, implementation approaches and alternatives / trade-offs.
Identifies opportunities for new or follow-on business and assists pre-sales teams in business development.
Leads advisory services, strategic planning activities and business case development for portfolios and infrastructure disciplines such as application / storage platforms, databases, networks, security, and IT processes / operations / governance.
Works within and across practices and organizations to design leading-edge technology or application solutions that result in profitable revenue growth for Kyndryl.
Conceptualizes, architects, designs, implements, and supports integrated solutions for client engagements.
Advises, analyses, researches, designs, installs, and implements complex integrated solutions for an entire enterprise. Interfaces extensively with the client’s senior management team (e.g., the IT Directors) on business, systems architectural, and technical issues. Provides mentoring and team leadership to other architects.
Integrates complex solutions into new or existing client environments.
Uses advanced diagnostic analytical and design capabilities.
Ensures that the best solution is provided to the customer (e.g., completes solution integrity engineering and development attributes.)
Design and architect transformational journeys for clients building overarching microservice, PaaS, and/or serverless architectures with a focus on DevSecOps integration.
Develop a backlog of stories centred on continuous modernization of the large-scale applications in scope.
Coordinate with project managers, business analysts, developers, operations teams to understand platform requirements, the system & data, and evangelize ways to drive quality and value to the client stakeholders.
Champion the establishment and continued use of Architecture best practices.
Provide training and coaching as needed to teams modernizing and transforming applications.
Support release planning preparation and event facilitation
Build high-performing teams across applications development, quality assurance, and infrastructure.
Share best practices for design & development.
Continuously review the technology landscape and advise clients on emerging technology solutions to drive differentiation in our services value proposition.
Provides technical oversight for technical estimates created with standards tools, portfolio Work Breakdown Structures, statements of work and industry standard estimating techniques.
Drive technical solutions discussions with your customers, diving deep into the details to solve complex technical challenges and use your knowledge to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures, prescriptive guidance, proposals, and implementation plans.
Act as a thought leader in the wider community, playing a key role in educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers, blogs, and running workshops.
Offering and capability development -
Create application design, enterprise consulting and development offerings based on market demand and develop delivery capabilities for its execution.
Define reference architecture for new offerings and provide key differentiator inputs to offering teams in terms of new technology adoption in application area.

Required Technical and Professional Experience:
Overall 10+ years of relevant IT experience.
Prior experience in business case development, application portfolio assessment, Infrastructure sizing, costing, migration planning and migration to public cloud.
Advanced experience in Multi Cloud Services (AWS / Azure / GCP).
Advanced experience with enterprise-level software delivery and release management practices.
Advanced experience in creating a strategy and architecture approach for transforming enterprise grade legacy platforms to modern platforms using modern tech stack and architecture.
Deep expertise in APIs – REST, SOAP.
Experience with modern cloud architecture patterns and approaches.
Experience in performing buy vs build analysis based on business requirements and perform vendor product evaluation.
Ability to create and effectively deliver technology solution presentations to address specific customer needs.
Deep expertise in cloud-based infrastructures, SDLC pipelines, Agile, and deployments/configurations and definition/evangelism of best practices/standards
Deep expertise in Data platforms – RDBMS, NOSQL (MS SQL, Redis, DynamoDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle).
Deep expertise in implementing Single Sign on Authentication workflows using SAML or OAuth.
Expertise in designing multi-channel experience for enterprise applications – Web, Mobile.
Demonstrated expertise in architecting, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade technical solutions meeting complex business requirements while evangelizing integration methodologies and helping business case justification to C-level executives.
Design and Development experience in languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript, NodeJS, Python, Go, or others .
Demonstrated knowledge of latest security best practices (OWASP, CBE, NIST, etc).
Demonstrated knowledge in design and implementation of frontends - Angular, ReactJS, ExpressJS, VueJS.
Strong design experience across various middleware solutions such as application servers, messaging, web servers and integration platform – WebSphere Application Server, Open Liberty, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Apache Tomcat, Nginx, EAP, Jetty, Oracle WebLogic.
Knowledge of virtual networking (public, private, and hybrid networks and subnetworks), network interfaces, and identity/access management (security groups and roles, network access control lists).
Knowledge of latest DevOps technologies (Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, IaC frameworks such as Ansible).
Advanced Systems Design.
Strong experience in designing applications with Kubernetes as the target platform - Kubernetes, OpenShift.
Experience with micro-services or cloud-based architectures for enterprise solutions.
Must have executed large app design and cloud native development programs (at least 2 programs)
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with one or more automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform.
Experience with containerization packaging, tooling, and DevOps methodologies.
Experience in management and orchestration for distributed federated edge K8S clusters like Helm.
Understanding of computer networking and protocols.
Certification (added advantage) :
Professional Enterprise Architecture Certifications in any – TOGAF, Zachman.
Professional Architect Certification in any of the cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Cloud based DevOps Certification.
Cloud based Security Certification.
