Job Description:

• Completes and oversees project(s) of moderate to high complexity scope, schedule and deliverables agreed to by the project stakeholders and leadership.

• Ensures that projects are staffed with the appropriate Information Technology (IT) staff, stakeholders and vendor resources. Provides feedback to project team resource managers on individual project team member’s performance during the project.

• Coordinates with stakeholders, business analysts, etc. to define project scope, budget, deliverables, timeline and detailed work plan. Documents and maintains records of project plan changes/updates.

• Performs other duties as required.

Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrates solid knowledge of IT Project Management Best Practices and applies principles as appropriate.

• Ability to create project schedules and scope budget of IT projects of a complex nature.

• Possesses strong knowledge of all Microsoft office applications.

• Demonstrates solid knowledge of PMI (Project Management Institute) standards and practices.

• Possesses skills in ITIL, Agile/Scrum, etc.

• Strong verbal and written communications skills.

• Demonstrated proficiency to manage moderate size IT projects or moderate to high complexity and guide project resource.

Scrum Master Qualifications / Skills:

• Exemplifies and promotes Agile values and principles.

• Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills

• Knowledge of an agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), or understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices

• Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques

• Planning and problem solving with product management and delivery teams

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree. 5 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Background Check and Drug Testing Information:

CDM Smith Inc. and its divisions and subsidiaries (hereafter collectively referred to as “CDM Smith”) reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions.
