NOVA Technologies Logistics Manager in Barksdale Afb, Louisiana

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring effective provisioning, maintenance, and acquisition processes are in place to support contract fulfillment for the B-52 TS program. This role involves leading a team in the coordination of supply chain activities, managing vendor relationships, and implementing cost-effective procurement strategies. The Logistics Manager ensures all logistics operations adhere to Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) and company policies, while collaborating with other department managers to resolve material availability issues and maintain high levels of inventory accuracy and supply readiness. The role plays a key part in driving efficiency and ensuring timely delivery of critical materials and services to support the organization's objectives.

  • Analyzes, organizes, plans and administers various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, or maintenance/repair activities for contract using established processes and procedures.

``` - Plans and implements all activities for acquiring supplies, services, tools, equipment, and materials as required to support contract operations RSP, Support Equipment and Bench Stock.

``` - Maintains and/or creates vendor records, purchase request records, purchase order records, receiving records, shipping records, and all associated logs as required.

``` - Oversees inventory management activities.

``` - Confers with other Department Managers regarding the availability of materials and provides status and location updates on overdue materials.

``` - Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain anagement, Business Administration, or other related field. An equivalent combination of education and years of experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.

``` - 4-12 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, procurement or related field.

``` - Proven experience in leading logistics operations, including supply chain processes, inventory management, and procurement activities.

``` - Demonstrated experience with FAR compliance.

``` - Familiarity with logistics software or enterprise resource planning systems.

```{=html}

``` - Previous experience in inventory control, purchasing, and coordinating the transportation of goods.

Supervisory Responsibility This position will not have authority or responsibility for the leadership and supervision of others.?

Work Environment, Programs, and Tools

While working in an office environment, this position will frequently be required to sit, talk, listen, use eye acuity, be on camera, and use hands/fingers to grasp or type. This position will also occasionally require walking, standing, stooping, lifting, and bending.

This position will also frequently require the individual to use the following tools, equipment, or programs: Computer, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project), Deltek Costpoint, MX Connection, procurement software, inventory control/management systems, inventory tracking devices, logistics management systems, and more.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position will be on site at Barksdale AFB, LA and will require adherence to the Government site hours of operation. This position is a full-time salaried exempt position, expected to work at least 80 hours a payroll period. This position may require evening/weekend work and work outside of the Government site hours of operations when Program support is needed.

Travel

Must be willing and able to travel to support the needs of the Program. Travel is expected to be about 15%.

Security Clearance Must have an active DoD Secret Personnel Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one within the first 6-months of employment.
