Corteva Agriscience Consultor de EHS - Alphaville in Barueri, Brazil

Description

Responsible for assuring that the best practices related to Environment, Health and Safety are in place supporting the operational requirements for Brazil & Paraguay Commercial teams and R&D projects: complying with legal requirements, Corteva guidelines and safe conditions Working under the available budget. He/she is also responsible for applying techniques and concepts, related to different EHS areas. Besides this the incumbent is responsible to train all workforce (administrative and operational) according to the corporate planning and needs be involved with:

  • EHS local networking (Hub)

  • Daily maintenance and services

  • Projects that need EHS approval or support in the Offices, Commercial area or R&D sites

  • Internal Auditing

  • Business demands.

  1. EHS Compliance* Leverage and fill corporate tools (GSI - Sistema de Gestão Integrado as RSDATA, ETQ Reliance, 3E Project and others) to capture exposure to environmental risks related to industrial hygiene and provide the best safety measure to avoid exposure.* Ensure implementation of local legal requirements (NRs) following the Standards established by Corteva, technical standards and current legislation.* Monitor various inspections in the unit, as well as technical expertise from Labor Complaints.* Responsible for the Risk Management Plan (PGR - NR1) , providing risk identification and control for all Corteva offices in the Hub. Ensuring that the data from the offices/commercial area is updated in the RSData system for issuing the legal documents (PGR/GRO and PPP) and sending them to the government in regular basis per Legal requirement. Ensure compliance and work to solve issues related to information entered into government system eSocial. 2. Driving Safety* Act to support all demands: standard application, training, monitoring and record off all the employee´s events (including incident report and investigation)3. CAMS Common Elements* Align the enterprise policies and standards for the commons sub-areas management system components.4. Core for Life* Help coordinate the Local EHS Committee at the Alphaville site and ensure that the other offices also keep the local EHS Committee and SIP (Safety Improvement Plan) active.* Impacting the mindset and behaviors of colleagues and contractors through Live Safely brand value, Core 10 standards, Core Areas, Life Critical Rules, License to Stop Work, Communications and Accountability.5. Incident Reporting, Investigation and Classification* Leveraging enterprise tools to capture injury/illness events and near misses, investigate thoroughly, report and classify correctly and consistently into ETQ Reliance.* Ensure incident learnings are addressed, properly communicated and action items implemented.* Work together with the leaders of the Commercial areas and functions to identify activities outside Corteva's sites and identify the hazards and risks supporting the implementation of the policy "No Corteva Location".6. Regulatory Alert Process* Review new, proposed and updated regulations, determine applicability and communicate to impacted locations.* Periodically review all licenses applicable to EHS-related offices and business activities and ensure sites keep the Control document updated in SharePoint7. GrowU Training System* Support the management of the Learning Management System (offices training matrix and GrowU update) to assign and document training.* Colaborate with the local training coordinator to ensure that the right Job Role and applicable trainings are assigned to the employees from offices and commercial area* Verify training compliance by the workers and coordinate region actions for completion of the required training.8. Audits and field visit* Support the region's second party audit team by auditing Emergency Response/Fire Safety and other Standards whenever required to participate by the lead auditor* Coordinate first party audits through the development of a Self-Assessment Plan for each location. Register the audit reports (Self-Assessments) into ETQ Reliance, in order to keep properly records and ensure action items are in place.* Visit the offices and activities that are carried out in the field by the Commercial area to help everyone's safety.* Check and update site documentation to ensure compliance with Corteva standards and legal requirements. Inform and track standards implementation status in ETQ Reliance.9. Human Resources* Disciplinary Policy, new employees onboarding, preparing legal documents, send safety information for the Government (2240 e-social, PPP) and ensuring that all employees receive the necessary training for the tasks they will perform.* Report Hours worked and miles driven by sites in ETQ Reliance in monthly basis.10. Emergency Response* Develop/review the emergency plan for offices and commercial operations (as needed) and coordinate activities of fire prevention for each office, keeping documentation and training of emergency brigade members up to date.* Be part and lead the brigade team (maintain an updated brigade list, schedule meetings or training when necessary, etc.), as well as be the communication channel between the condominium and Corteva in cases of emergency.* Manage the fire fighting system, maintaining mapping of the location and validity of extinguishers.11. Area Commercial Safety Committee* Participate and provide support to the Commercial Area Safety Committee Meetings* Support and guide CIPA committee when necessary. 12. Contractor Safety* Analysis of contractor documents to perform activities - Contractor pre-qualification, site condition, licenses, performance analysis, etc.* Provide training when necessary (such as Corepermits training, AST, etc.)* Be responsible for review the Safety Data Sheets (FDS - Fichas de Dados de Segurança) for chemical products used in offices (e.g. cleaning, maintenance, canteen, contracted services, etc.), and control approved chemicals into 3E System.* Plan and monitor risk activities* MTR control (waste removal)* Control and supervision of chemical products (MSDS) * Maintain and update site legal documentation folder (RTO)* Management of PPE for field activities Corteva employees/Contractors* Safety Walk About Tracking

Qualifications

  • It is necessary previous experience in EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) area

  • Experience in safety audits

  • Capable to manage contractors' company and assure technical, safety and commercial issues are in compliance with contract.

  • Be the legal EHS responsible for Alphaville site, supervising on site activities.

  • Support other LA FS&RE sites (offices), reviewing the guidelines, procedures, documentation and provide guidance.

  • Capable to establish schedules to the activities and projects above the Business (Commercial area) responsibilities

  • Experience in safety and operational procedures elaboration

  • Good communication skills with Business contractors as well as employees' team

  • “Hands on” attitude in to implement actions defined in Business strategies.
