What you'll be doing...The Verizon Cyber Data Management and Protection organization is responsible for collecting, processing, protecting, and sharing data consumed by our security operations partners to protect the business. As part of the Enterprise Log Management team, you will be responsible for managing enterprise-scale data broker and logging services. This critical role will combine data management and systems administration of technical infrastructures to enable rapid identification, response, and mitigation of potential threats.
Responsibilities:
As part of the Enterprise Log Management team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining enterprise-scale data broker and logging infrastructures deployed across cloud and data center networks.
Building and managing data broker and logging infrastructures by leveraging automation.
Performing expert-level systems administration of Cribl, Splunk, Elastic and similar tools deployed at enterprise scale to maintain availability and service quality targets.
Maintaining situational awareness of platform health.
Developing and maintaining high-quality documentation of infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
Managing tasks using Jira and other collaboration tools.
Supporting 24/7 on-call rotation.
This position can be located in other valid Verizon locations.
What we're looking for...You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in information technology topics including IP networking, Unix and Windows systems administration, and common information security concepts.
Experience troubleshooting complex technical conditions in large, enterprise environments.
Experience managing Splunk in large, enterprise environments.
Experience developing and optimizing Splunk searches using Search Processing Language (SPL).
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Knowledge of developing shell scripts and using regular expressions.
Work experience using Jira, AYS, or similar task management tools.
Experience using Cribl or similar data broker tools.
Experience managing Elastic.
Experience using Kubernetes, EKS, or other container services.
Experience using Jenkins or Ansible, and Gitlab.
