Must have a high school education or GED equivalent. Completion of major core course work in liberal arts or similar field desired. Must be familiar with the operations of office practices and procedures and government structure and processes. Must possess above average oral and written communication and presentation skills. Must have four years of experience in the Public Transportation Industry and possess demonstrated supervisory potential. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. A CDL with passenger endorsement is preferred. Must have the ability to calculate fractions, decimals, and percentages. Must have knowledge of record keeping and inventory control. Must be familiar with agency vehicle authorization procedures. Must be able to schedule appointments for transportation and vehicle maintenance and repair. Must have ability to work with little or no supervision. Must be able to track data of varying types and sources, compile/generate accurate and timely reports. This position requires normal audio/visual acuity and the ability to sit, stoop, walk, stand, bend, and crouch. -or education, training, and/or experience in an amount equal to the Minimum Qualifications stated above. Provides direct supervision to subordinate staff as assigned. Determines need for hiring new staff; interviews applicants and makes recommendations for hiring. Disciplines subordinates; reviews and approves or denies leave requests; completes performance evaluations; meets with subordinates and addresses grievances. Trains subordinates. Manages subordinates schedules and work assignments on a daily and weekly basis and assigns vehicles on a daily basis Establishes and maintains a comprehensive safety training program for Vehicle Operators and other department personnel. Establishes and maintains a comprehensive training program for CTC employees involved in accident investigations involving any CTC vehicle, to ensure compliance with DOT/FTA accident classification. Ensures mandated training is delivered timely to all new hires. Certifies training for CTC Vehicle Operator/Trainers and other personnel as required. Operates a motor vehicle to respond to various locations around the county to conduct thorough accident investigations involving department vehicles. Submit to DOT/FTA program regulations as required. Monitors daily safety inspections, performed by Vehicle Operators. Coordinates with Fleet Maintenance department to schedule vehicles for maintenance, service and repair. Oversees customer complaint process, works with vehicle operators
