APTIM Project Specialist -- Louisiana Statewide Energy Efficiency Program in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Job Overview:

APTIM Energy Transition team is seeking a Project Specialist who will be responsible for providing program services, support, and analysis for the Louisiana Statewide Energy Efficiency program team. APTIM is responsible for designing and managing program operations; measuring, tracking, and reporting results; marketing, outreach, and community engagement; and providing engineering and technical resources. The Louisiana Public Service Commission's Statewide Energy Efficiency program will provide incentives to customers for making electric and gas efficiency improvements to residential and commercial buildings. This can be a fully remote position, may be required to attend some meetings or be in the office three days a week if near an APTIM office location. This position will report to the Program Operations Manager working directly with the Program team.

This position is responsible for providing client and customer service and administrative support, while ensuring that project information is accurate, project workflows are maintained and continuously reviewed, and continuous communication with key internal stakeholders and client is maintained. This position is additionally responsible for managing implementer incentive reviews, processing, and supporting or directly coordinating on project tasks with internal functional teams. Our role as the Louisiana Statewide Energy Efficiency Program Administrator is to develop energy-saving programs that are important tools in the marketplace for lowering energy bills. APTIM has been selected as the Program Administrator by the Louisiana Public Service Commission. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Work as part of an energy efficiency team ensuring that the administration, implementation, and verification of projects are successfully executed.

  • Act as the lead customer service representative. Develop, maintain, and engage with customers through email and in/outbound calling and updating program databases as needed.

  • Review project application forms by customers, contractors, engineers/consultants, and other program participants to ascertain compliance with program policies and procedures.

  • Maintain, update, and add entries to the system databases accurately.

  • Assist with project reporting, scheduling and other issues as needed.

  • Develop relationships with program partners to identify and address their needs from the Program to provide information to the program managers.

  • Conduct QA/QC of Program processes and protocols, offering design improvements, analysis, and recommendations.

  • Contract management; reporting and tracking program performance and metrics.

  • Directly assist in the resolution of Program operation issues.

  • Commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment within the team and broader organization.

  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Ensuring compliance with all APTIM quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent work experience.

  • 2-4 years' program/project experience related to energy efficiency, implementation, or administrative oversight.

  • Effective communication skills, experience with client engagement and coordination.

  • Experience with CRM systems and tracking systems.

  • Quantitative and analytic capabilities including report writing spreadsheet analysis, and identification of existing or potential problems, and recommend solutions.

  • Advanced written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent critical thinking skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions.

  • Self-starter with the ability to manage time and prioritize projects within established deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management, project management, and follow-through.

  • Willingness to learn new technologies across multiple industries.

  • Proven experience developing and maintaining relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software -- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years' experience in the energy efficiency or utility industries.

  • Four years of previous office experience.

  • Professional experience working with a wide variety of stakeholders, such as state, local and federal governments, for-profit and non-profit organizations, utilities, multifamily properties, and others.

  • Fluency in Spanish, French, or Vietnamese highly preferred. Ability to speak additional languages may be advantageous.
