Job Purpose and Impact

The Research Laboratory Technician III position will lead the completion of routine analytical and laboratory testing of new products in support of the Research and Development teams. In this role, you will receive and prepare samples for testing and document results of tests and communicating those results. You will also check and monitor the instruments and equipment that is used during the testing process.

Key Accountabilities

  • The Technician will support in the realization of laboratory manipulations necessary for the progress of Biopolymer activity for exiting products (Xanthane and Scleroglucan) and other Bio-Gums in the context of long-term developments.

  • These projects will aim to evaluate to develop new products (mainly Bio Polymers base).

  • He / she may carry out tests for other lines of hydrocolloids than Xanthane or Scleroglucan (carrageenan, pectin, other biopolymers ...), with the agreement of the Responsable RM & Pdts.

  • He / she puts his technical and relational skills at the service of the RM & Pdts team to ensure the smooth running of the projects.

  • As a member of the RM & Pdts team, he or she is able to trace the progress of his / her tasks and the identified EHS improvement areas.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor 2 in Biology / microbiology in laboratory work.

  • Experience in Fermentation field.

  • Knowledge of good laboratory practices and EHS rules (Environment, Hygiene, Safety).

  • Fluent in French

  • English (basic) - preferably read and spoken.

  • Windows - Excel - Word
