Job Description:

Implements non-nursing functions of assigned clinic to enhance clinic productivity, and provide excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff. Position performs clerical duties, requisition supplies, equipment and services; may assist with scheduling and phones as directed and other duties as assigned.

Education Qualifications:

Required Qualifications-

Candidates must possess one of the following:

• Completion of a medical secretary program

• WIOA approved program for healthcare clerical work

• Completion of a HUC program

• Completion of a general degree program with coursework in medical terminology, Microsoft office systems, and keyboarding

• If no education, required to have 1 year of work experience in an office setting

Preferred Qualifications-

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience in a healthcare setting

• Experience in customer facing roles

• Clerical experience

• Understanding of medical terminology

• Strong Microsoft Office experience

• Excellent organization and strong ability to multitask
