Job Title: Paint Prep Laborer

Job Description

Responsible for preparing various sheet metal parts for liquid or powder coat paint.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents, and prepare fabricated steel items for paint or other coatings.

• Clean parts by hand or spray using hot phosphatize wash prior to painting or coating.

• Perform light maintenance and cleaning of spray equipment to ensure proper operation.

• Load unpainted parts on overhead line and racks.

• Clean paint mixing area, work area, and maintain cleanliness of shop and work areas.

• Communicate and work with others on the team and adhere to quality standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bay City, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.
