LAMMEL PLUMBING INC Journeyman Plumber in Beatrice, Nebraska

We are a small town business that has been serving our great community for over 40 years. We are looking for an experienced Plumbing Technician to efficiently undertake various plumbing tasks, from fixing leakages to installing pipes. A successful plumber must have thorough knowledge of service plumbing, diagnostic, and customer service. They are patient individuals with a practical mind and manual dexterity, able to work efficiently with great attention to detail. The goal is to repair, install, and maintain well-functioning systems that transport water, waste, gases, or hot liquids. Very little paperwork is done in this position. This is a full-time position with competitive pay, benefits, and a positive working environment . Minimum of 2 years experience required, a valid drivers license, and a Journeymen's license.

RESPONSABLITIES

  • Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure

  • Install and maintain water supply systems

  • Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g., leaks)

  • Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets, etc.

  • Install and maintain water heaters, sump and ejector pumps, back up systems, hose bibbs, etc

  • Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systems

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances

  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems

  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient completion of projects

  • Perform field service calls to diagnose and resolve plumbing issues

  • Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential problems

  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times

SKILLS

  • Proven experience as a plumber

  • Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential and commercial buildings

  • Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers, etc.)

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Friendly with a great deal of patience

  • Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces

  • Strong knowledge of plumbing principles and practices

  • Basic math skills for measuring and calculating pipe lengths, angles, etc
