What is it that we do at Colonial Pipeline Company?

Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans.

About the Field Project Coordinator Position

As the Field Project Coordinator, you provide day-to-day support for the Field Projects Team and other associated teams. This position must understand the dynamics of the organization and the Team and use that knowledge to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Team. The Field Project Coordinator will have responsibility for project management support, compliance tracking, budget management and forecasting, status reporting, emergency response, and general administrative support.

What You Get to Do:

  • Assist with job planning, including development of various project documents and assembly of job books in preparation for project execution.

  • Review invoices for accuracy and track project costs.

  • Requisition materials and contract services as requested by Field Projects personnel.

  • Assist with material tracking, inventory management, and project closeout documentation.

  • Ensure accurate and complete project recordkeeping, including compilation/ filing of project records in accordance with Project As-Built Checklists and records retention policies.

  • Plan in-person and virtual team meetings for the Field Projects Team.

  • Schedule and record minutes for a variety of Field Projects and other meetings.

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding activities (technology, badging, vehicle, PPE, etc.).

  • Track and manage contractor and contract inspector compliance with safety orientation, badging/scanning, ISN requirements, and OQ/TQ requirements.

  • Compile reports to document the performance of Field Projects teams and individuals against performance objectives.

  • Assist Director and Managers with budget preparation, management, and forecasting.

  • Drive consistency throughout the Field Projects organization through collaboration across districts.

  • Fill roles assigned during emergency response exercises and actual events.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) from an accredited education institution.

  • Ideally, 3+ years in administrative support role.

  • Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record to travel up to 10%.

  • Computer skills with MS Office include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company’s core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments.

  • Self-motivated, have a phenomenal work ethic and looking for the right company to support your growth.
