WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Lead Nike Direct Assortment Planner to establish clear end to end bottom’s up merchandise plans, partnering with Consumer Fields of Play Assortment Planners, Merch Financial Planning, Consumer Merchandising, Marketplace Merchandising, Marketplace and Finance to create a line grounded in profitability, productivity, and consumer centric offerings by creating pre-season style color plans that support the goals of Nike and consumer field of play and managing through to in-season optimization through a robust rolling forecast process and collaborative weekly offense with marketplace. You will deliver a seasonal buy that is aligned to Retail Sales, Inventory and Market expectations, including door, flow and size specificity.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Develop seasonal plans and monthly forecasts inclusive of sales, margin and inventory at the style color level (leveraging analytics), develop strategies to meet CFoP financial goals and own open to buy bottom’s up forecasts to inform manufacturing decisions through to in season optimization

  • You will deliver a seasonal buy for Nike Direct that is aligned to Retail Sales, Inventory and Market expectations, including door, flow, and size specificity.

  • Partner with key stakeholders across Geo and Global to optimize business health throughout the entirety of the product life cycle inclusive of responsive offering.

  • Recap and analyze the business against forecast weekly and forecast in-season sales and inventories on a monthly basis

  • Product forecasting and in season optimization by analyzing data, & providing actionable insights

  • Report on forecast variance weekly with action plans and risks & opportunities

  • Support monthly and seasonal inventory planning and management activities

  • In partnership with marketplace teams actively manage product; close-out process and aging inventory to maximize consumer demand and marketplace objectives

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will work closely with GEO CFoP Merch Planning, Merch Financial Planning, Consumer Merchandising, Marketplace Merchandising, Marketplace and Finance; to create a robust rolling forecast for our Nike Owned business grounded in quantitative and qualitative metrics of sales, inventory and margin.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Leverage statistical forecasting, data science and new ways of working to develop plans and drive better decisions pre and in-season

  • Demonstrated experience in assortment planning and understanding of financial, product and inventory planning

  • Strong ability to influence and ability to design compelling communication grounded in data

  • Ability to think critically and understand the potential of a style in the marketplace as well as quantify any gaps to financial plans from a bottoms up perspective

  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills by developing accurate plans that optimize trade-offs and outcomes

  • Current understanding of consumer and marketplace trend

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3-5 years directly relevant work experience Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 1 yr; Masters + 0-3 yrs; Associates degree + 1-3 yrs; High School + 3-5 yrs
