Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival Operations Manager in Becket, Massachusetts
The Operations Manager collaborates across departments to ensure smooth campus operations, reporting to the Director of Technical Production. This role manages daily logistics, supervises Operations Technicians, and oversees parking, transportation, and facility setup for the festival season. Core Responsibilities: The position focuses on maintaining safe operations, managing studio and tent reservations, supervising parking and golf cart services, coordinating event logistics, and supporting emergency response protocols. Key duties include training staff, creating operational procedures, and facilitating interdepartmental communication for campus-wide events. Essential Qualifications: Minimum 3 years management experience, proven organizational system development, staff supervision experience, and strong project management skills. Must possess valid driver\'s license and proficiency with Google Apps. Customer service background and willingness to learn are crucial. Physical Requirements: Work involves outdoor activity in various weather conditions, lifting up to 50 lbs, navigating uneven terrain, working at heights up to 30 feet, and operating lifts. Position requires adaptability to work in theatrical environments with various atmospheric elements. Remote part-time work begins March 31, 2025 (15-20 hrs/week), transitioning to full-time on-site May 6 through August 28, 2025. Work schedule evolves from 5-day/40-hour weeks to 6-day/58-hour weeks during peak season. Compensation ranges from \$23.58-\$25.63/hour with overtime after 48 hours.
