Actalent IT Engineer in Bedford, Indiana

Job Title: IT EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an Information Technology (ITAR compliant) specialist to help maintain stand-alone network(s). The specialist will identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues, maintain network permissions and access, be responsible for network data back-ups and storage, and manage hardware on the network. The specialist will be required to know/learn how to work with Active Directory. The specialist will be responsible for computer updates, OS updates, STIG's, patches, and cybersecurity updates. They will correct open findings and troubleshoot problems encountered during scanning or updating. The specialist will perform vulnerability scanning and report quarterly, as well as impromptu, on all assets to ensure compliance. They will patch, update, and secure all IT assets including computers, servers, and printers to stay up to date with the latest manufacturer firmware and software releases. Additionally, the specialist will provide support for maintaining certification & accreditation plans, network diagrams, hardware/software lists, how-to guides for administration and remediation tasks, contingency plans, ports protocols and services policies, and POA&M.

Hard Skills

  • Secret security clearance

  • Windows domain administration experience

  • Membership in CWF - COMPTIA

  • Microsoft Windows domain environment

  • Microsoft Server 2016/2019

  • Management of systems through group policy

  • Experience with Active Directory

  • Familiarity with WSUS (Windows Server Update Service)

  • Computer Network troubleshooting and maintenance

  • PC troubleshooting and repair

  • COMPTIA Security+

  • Windows10/Windows11 training

  • Windows Server 2016/2019 training

  • 3+ years of Network maintenance experience

  • Experience with software programming and systems administration

  • Experience with patching, updating, and securing IT assets per latest firmware and software releases
