JOB SUMMARY

Assists in the day to day activities relating to inventory control functions supporting Pharmaceutical fill/finish Operations. Responsibilities include receiving materials, creating and updating log sheets and inventory cards, shipping activities, and all inventory movement functions including updating databases, labeling and maintaining all associated cGMP documentation. This position will also prepare SOP specific inventory kits supporting production activities.

JOB DUTIES

  • Loads and/or unloads material between dock and truck with hand truck where applicable. Moves materials between statuses and locations within the plants

Processes delivered materials according to procedure placing an added immediacy on temperature sensitive receipts. Delivers received shipments accordingly

Prepares work-in-process (WIP) and lot specific kits supporting Manufacturing

Processes manufacturing and shipping supplies as outlined in procedures

Performs material sampling as required

Records and maintains accurate inventory logs for all manufacturing components; reports on inventory

Researches inventory discrepancies and reports findings

Ensures proper storage, segregation and area labeling of raw material storage areas

Processes expired and nonconforming materials to a restricted area and place on-hold

Attends semi-annual DOT and IATA training as required

Conducts materials handling operations in strict accordance with written SOPs

Performs cycle counts, expiration date maintenance and maintains all material storage locations

Assures that operations are conducted in compliance with strict cGMP procedures

EDUCATION, PROFESSIONAL SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE

5 plus years of experience

Ability to follow instructions and established procedures

Ability to prioritize, to make good decisions and multi-task.

Good written and oral communication skills are essential

Self-motivator, reliable, follows instructions and can perform duties with minimal guidance

Willing to put team first

Must understand cGMP requirements and strict adherence to safety policies and practices

Ability to use Microsoft Suite.

Strong commitment to excellence and quality with a positive working attitude

Valid drivers’ license

APICS coursework or certification a plus

Previous DOT and IATA training preferred

ERP software experience is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time up to 4 hours without a break

Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects

Ability to lift loads, not to exceed 60 pounds, unassisted

Ability to pass eye exam to obtain 20/20 vision, corrected or uncorrected

Must have a valid driver’s license

COMMUNICATIONS & CONTACTS

  • Communication within the department and outside is critical for success

  • Must be customer service driven

MANAGERIAL & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for recommending revisions to SOPs pertinent to daily tasks in PCI operations
