Job Title: 2nd shift - Shift Supervisor

Job Description

This company specializes in making refrigerated display cases, such as Deli Cases, Bakery Cases, and hot food displays like those found in Kwik Trip. As a 2nd shift Production Supervisor, you will oversee the assembly and fabricating departments, ensuring the smooth operation of all plant activities and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the assembly and fabricating departments.

• Assume responsibility for all activities of the plant and plant site.

• Actively coach co-workers and communicate with all employees to facilitate positive change and continuous improvement in all processes, including the safety process.

• Develop, implement, and review employee performance and development plans to ensure quality, productivity, and delivery goals are met.

• Promote quality, teamwork, and organizational leadership.

• Implement process control procedures to ensure quality standards are met.

• Demonstrate leadership in all areas of production by observing and enforcing rules and practices, encouraging safe and healthy work behaviors, and promptly correcting conditions and unsafe behaviors.

• Take appropriate actions to ensure that resources and efforts remain focused on the achievement of plant financial and operating goals.

• Administer company and union work rules, contracts, and procedures.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of production supervisor/manager experience

• Strong management skills

Work Environment

This role operates on the 2nd shift, from 2pm to 10pm, Monday through Friday. The facility can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, but it is equipped with fans and dock doors that are frequently opened to help regulate temperature.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.54 - $20.04/hr.
