Position summary T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Principal engineers, System Design located in Bellevue, WA will work with a highly qualified team of telecom professionals to validate and introduce cutting-edge technology for use in America's leading telecom network. Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Work with a team of T-Mobile and Nokia engineers to complete lab validation. Perform First Office Application (FOA) validation testing on Nokia Unified Subscriber Database (USD) platforms to enhance T-Mobile's 5A SA Core. Perform core network lab planning and coordination to ensure adequate lab environments for simultaneous USD node validation projects as well as ensuring a stable end-to-end lab environment for other test tea ms. Support complex lab trouble-shooting efforts to quickly resolve problems and maintain schedules. Identify options to solve complex problems and work with others to obtain concurrence on the recommended solution. Provide guidance and assistance to less experienced engineers. Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance. Skill requirements: (1) Planning, architecting, designing, and leading implementation of cloud solutions involving VoLTE, 5G, Cloud Data Center, and System Integration on Nokia platforms. (2) Troubleshooting and resolving complex telecom performance issues and outages in an urgent manner involving the Nokia One-NDS platform on a live network. (3) Deploying, integrating, validating, and troubleshooting complex telecom use cases involving Containers and Kubernetes with Nokia USD platforms. (4) Determining technical architecture and design for new features, enhancements, capacity improvements on Nokia Provisioning Gateway Proxy (PPX), One-NDS with Segmented Routing Layer, Equipment Identity Register (EIR), Registers, Unified Data Management /Authentication Server Function (UDM/AUSF), and Device Query Interface (DQI) solutions. (5) Developing test strategies, leading application acceptance projects, anticipating the implications of proposed solutions, to gain others' support for technical proposals, and communicating RCAs / status updates / technical options to senior telecom executives. (6) Working with jMeter, Landslide, OpenStack, Kubernetes, SOAP, HTTP, Sigtran, Diameter, NAS, NGAP, SDAP, SCTP, TCP, UDP, IPv4, IPv6, REST, JSON, and LDAP Protocols, including 4G and 5G call flows for both voice and data. Experience and education requirements: PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer Science, or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.
