The Program Manager within the Program Management Office (PMO), reporting to the Leader of PMO, independently owns and drives the execution of a critical program within Global Procurement Organization's (GPO). This role manages difficult, cross-functional projects across multiple teams, partnering with stakeholders and managers to secure resources, scope efforts, and set project priorities aligned with program goals. You will drive crisp decisions and clear blockers while maintaining strategic trade-offs between time, quality, and resources.
Working closely with GPO Leaders and Pillar single-threaded leaders (STLs), you will transform business requirements into clear documentation, optimize cross-team processes, and ensure successful project outcomes. You will proactively identify and mitigate risks, manage program communication, and improve operational excellence across teams. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence decisions through clear, data-driven communication to senior leadership.
Key job responsibilities
Candidates must have:
• Strong understanding of performance improvement methodologies, root cause analysis, and change management is required.
•Demonstrated ability of executing multiple complex projects to successful completion is required.
•Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
•Experience implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
•Experience building processes, project planning, and schedules.
•Experience using PM tools (i.e., Asana, MS Project, etc.).
•Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
•Approximately 30% travel
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of program or project management experience
3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
3+ years of driving process improvements experience
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
