Actalent Controls Engineer in Belmont, Michigan
Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description
This is a full-time, on-site contract position for a Controls Engineer in Walker, lasting for 9 months with the potential for extension or a direct offer based on mutual agreement. The role involves working 40-45 hours per week, with the possibility of up to 50 hours during busy periods. The position will be based out of a modern facility with both office and shop space.
Responsibilities
Develop and program Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs from scratch.
Design electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
Program and troubleshoot HMI systems.
Work with Fanuc robotics, with a preference for experience with ABB robotics.
Travel to local customer sites as needed, with gas expenses and vehicle support provided after a few months.
Work on-site at customer locations, ensuring all project requirements and deadlines are met.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical design.
Experience in Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC programming.
Expertise in Fanuc robotics.
Strong understanding of automation and controls engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with ABB robotics is highly desirable.
Familiarity with other PLCs and robotics systems is a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment will vary, with the majority of time spent on-site at customer locations. Most customer work environments are clean and updated, offering a mix of shop and office settings. The role involves local travel, and while mileage is not reimbursed, support for gas expenses and vehicles is provided after a few months. The Controls team consists of 8 experienced engineers, offering a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $45.00/hr.
