Job Description: As an AV and Security Technician I, your role will involve providing support and assistance to AV and security integrators in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems. You will work closely with the integrator team to ensure that solutions are implemented effectively and meet the requirements of clients. Your responsibilities may include:

Installation Support: Assist in the installation of AV and security systems, including cameras, access control panels, intrusion detection devices, and other related equipment. Handle tools, equipment, and materials required for installation tasks. Follow instructions from senior security integrators to complete installation tasks efficiently and accurately. Ensure adherence to safety protocols during installation activities.

System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on AV and security systems to ensure their optimal performance. Conduct system inspections and tests to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions. Assist in upgrading or replacing system components as required. Document maintenance activities, including records of tasks performed and any changes made to the system.

Troubleshooting and Support: Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues reported by clients or detected during routine maintenance. Collaborate with senior integrators to identify the root cause of problems and implement appropriate solutions. Provide technical support to clients or end-users over the phone or on-site when necessary. Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all activities, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks performed. Generate reports on system installations, maintenance activities, and incidents encountered during the process. Document any changes or modifications made to security systems and update system documentation accordingly.

Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with the security team, project managers, and clients to ensure smooth and efficient project execution. Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and end-users to gather information, provide updates, and address any concerns.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Basic understanding of security systems and technology. 1 year of work-related experience preferred. Knowledge of hand and power tools commonly used in security system installation. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Physical fitness and the ability to perform installation tasks that may involve lifting, climbing, and working in various environments.
