Robert Half is partnering with a reputable client in the manufacturing industry seeking a Tax Accountant in Concord. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax rules/regulations, experience with auditing, and advanced accounting skills.

Job Responsibilities

The tax accountant will:

• Prepare federal and state income tax returns and forecasts

• Conduct tax research and planning to minimize tax liability

• Assist in the development of tax strategies and new policies

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and monthly/quarterly/annual reports

• Comply with state and federal auditing requirements

• Verify tax return information to respective government agencies

• Assist in internal and external audits

  Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or Finance.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant tax accounting experience.

• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes.

• Proficiency in tax software and MS Office.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Must be proactive, able to work within tight deadlines and deliver quality results.

• Knowledge in the manufacturing industry would be a definite advantage.
