About Team:

Workday Configuration Team : Responsible for the Workday space for all of Recruiting and Talent Performance for 1.8 million associates in Workday located in USA, Canada, and India.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and manage integration in Workday platform and all connected systems.

  • Configuration and building of Studio integration.

  • Lead a team of 12 people, ensuring collaboration and effective communication.

  • Build and maintain Workday Business processes in Workday primarily in Recruiting, Talent Performance.

  • Hands-on experience using Workday Integrations, mostly in Studio, EIBs, and Report writers.

  • Proficiency with web service technologies.

  • Design, develop, configure, and test simple to complex Workday reports (advanced, matrix, composite) utilizing Workday Report Writer and Report Designer, as well as other tools and available technologies.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical groups.

  • Work in an agile environment with customer obsession.

  • Implement best practices for architecture, design, coding standards & CI/CD.

  • Work cross-functionally with product management and business units to drive forward results.

  • Be solution-driven and have a passion to make a meaningful change in the Walmart world.

  • Build applications that are scalable and best in class for the Walmart and the application.

What You'll Bring:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field or equivalent relevant experience.

  • 3+ years of Workday Integration experience, mostly in Studio, Reports, and EIBs.

  • Workday HCM, Workday Recruiting, and Workday Compensation and Talent Performance module experience.

  • Workday Integration Studio certification – nice to have.

  • Experience/knowledge of huge organizations – nice to have.

Understands product technology stacks, data models, and APIs to effectively communicate business needs with engineering teams. Understands release cycles and turnaround times for different processes to enable the prioritization and creation of realistic timelines to release features for products/solutions. Recommends new processes, automation opportunities, and ways of working for subdomains.

Solution Design:

Requires knowledge of:

To assist in the creation of simple, modular, extensible, and functional designs for products/solutions in accordance with business requirements. Evaluates trade-offs while designing across multiple components in a product based on business requirements. Converts HLD to create detailed designs using mock screens, pseudo codes, and detailed functional logic of modules for specific modules/components of a product. Understands the nuances of designing for disaster recovery. Designs and creates MVP to clarify requirements and design and uncover risks. Independently refines MVP for early defects and revised customer requirements.

Configuration Management:

Requires knowledge of:

Software architecture; Distributed systems; Scalability; Design patterns; Disaster recovery; Technology stacks; Minimum viable product (MVP); Nonfunctional requirements; Telemetry.

To update data from all sources as needed and when configuration changes are deployed. Conducts analysis for simple configuration changes. Prepares documentation for configuration.

Integration Management:

Requires knowledge of:

Configuration management tools and processes; Configuration and release management in environment(s).

To oversee the end-to-end process of application integration to the target environment. Investigates issues or failures of application integration. Facilitates modifications to improve the success of integration between application programs.

Testing:

Requires knowledge of:

Risk assessment and management techniques; Possible solutions for risks, threats, and vulnerabilities; Evolving security landscapes and emerging security threats; Assessment of potential business risks.

To translate customer requirements into test strategy (applicable to IC and PL). Identifies scopes and methods of testing for each requirement (applicable only to IC). Ensures test cases cover all test scenarios (for example, functionality, performance, security, integration, data migration, accessibility ) for a product/solution (applicable only to IC). Drives the execution of test cases to test code and detect errors and defects for an entire product (applicable only to IC). Designs and implements the test strategy for functional and automation testing.

Risk Management:

Requires knowledge of:

Types of middleware; Different types of platforms; Functions of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs); Programming languages used for middleware; Principles and protocols for API-level integration; New and emerging middleware products, tools and methodologies in the industry.

To produce and interpret common risk assessments and management reports. Identifies common technology, security, or financial risks relevant to an assigned function or unit. Evaluates risk assessment models and techniques relevant to a specific line of business. Documents the key steps of unit-specific risk management processes and associated procedures. Implements or manages risk management for an assigned area.

DevOps Orientation:

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
