We are seeking a Lead Platform Engineer with a strong focus on DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to join our global Cloud Technology Engineering team. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our cloud product platforms, enabling engineering teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently and at scale. You will drive the adoption of DevOps and SRE best practices, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance while fostering a culture of automation and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep expertise in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and SRE principles. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build a robust, self-service platform that empowers developers and enhances operational excellence.

JOB DUTIES:

• Provide technical guidance on platform architecture, implementation, and support, while defining the strategic vision for DevOps, SRE, and automation. Develop and communicate long-term strategies to ensure alignment with organizational goals

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, and build automation tools to reduce manual toil and improve efficiency

• Define and implement SRE best practices, including monitoring, alerting, incident management, and error budgets, while conducting root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurring issues

• Partner with engineering teams to deliver platform solutions that enhance productivity, conduct training sessions on DevOps and SRE practices, and influence technical leadership to drive platform adoption

• Architect and maintain highly available, mission-critical environments with 24x7 availability, participate in on-call rotations, and continuously optimize system performance, scalability, and cost efficiency

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles, with a proven track record of leading large-scale, strategic projects.

• Deep expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)

• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)

• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash)

• Strong understanding of observability tools (e.g., New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)

WE VALUE:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• Experience building and maintaining internal developer platforms or enabling engineering teams through self-service tools

• Proven success in implementing SRE practices, including monitoring, alerting, and incident management

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps principles

• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a track record of building consensus and driving results

• Strategic thinking with the ability to balance long-term vision with short-term execution
