Job Title: Production Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Production Engineer to join our team. The role involves supporting installations, new launches, and special/capital projects in collaboration with project management. You will be responsible for executing Engineering strategies and overseeing new product launches. You will also develop priorities and objectives in cooperation with each site management team and oversee their implementation, while continuously improving processes throughout the plant. Proficiency in Solidworks and CAD usage is essential.
Responsibilities
Support installations, new launches, and special/capital projects in collaboration with project management.
Execute Engineering strategies and oversee new product launches.
Develop priorities and objectives in cooperation with site management teams and oversee their implementation.
Implement continuous improvements throughout the plant.
Utilize Solidworks and CAD for design and process improvements.
Essential Skills
3+ years of manufacturing experience or strong co-op/internship experience for entry-level candidates.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology.
5+ years of automotive experience if there is no engineering degree.
Proficiency in PLC programming.
Solidworks proficiency.
Robotics troubleshooting skills.
Continuous improvement expertise.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in process improvement, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, project management, industrial engineering, HMI, and tooling.
Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs.
Work Environment
This role operates on a 1st shift from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM with flexibility based on consultant needs. The position requires 80% of the time on the floor and 20% in the office. The work environment is a fast-paced, dirty setting where the facility is not temperature controlled. Employees are required to sit or stand for long periods, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, and work 40-50 hours per week, including weekends (on rotation) and holidays. Up to 5% domestic and international travel may be required. You will likely walk 10K+ steps a day in this large plant. Steel-toed boots are required on the manufacturing floor
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46
