We're hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for a premier Industrial Manufacturing Company in the Berlin NJ area.

This is a contract to hire opportunity and we're hiring immediately. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of manufacturing equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

7:00AM - 3:30PM@ Monday-Friday

Must be open to Dupont Schedule rotating every 2 weeks between days/nights (3 on 4 off, 4 on 3 off)

Job Description

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic performs routine maintenance and repair work on machinery, equipment, systems, buildings, and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical preventative maintenance on all equipment according to schedule.

• Inspect machinery, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair to keep production running and reduce downtime.

• Effectively troubleshoot all mechanical equipment, take corrective action, repair, replace, or rebuild as necessary.

• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints and sketches, making all measurements and calculations necessary to complete the job.

• Complete work orders, requisitions, inspection reports, time distribution, and material usage records.

• Perform clerical duties as necessary to maintain proper records.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience for B Mechanic or 5+ years for A Mechanic in Industrial Maintenance

• Experience in performing maintenance on industrial machinery, industrial ovens, and mobile equipment

• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, gear boxes, bearings, and power transmission

• Fabrication skills and ability to use a mill and lathe preferred

• Welding skills are a plus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Experience with machine safety, guarding, hot work, and lockout/tagout procedures

The work environment is a manufacturing setting that is not climate controlled, which means it can be hot or humid. Surfaces may be wet, dusty, and uneven, and the area can have high noise levels, vibration, and fumes. Personal protective equipment such as steel-toed boots, ear protection, eye protection, gloves, and head protection are required in certain areas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
