Description:
Performs routine maintenance to equipment and systems to maintain the integrity of the hospital and associated buildings and property
Positions Responsibilities:
Performs routine maintenance and repairs of tube system.
Performs maintenance of hospital beds.
Performs routine maintenance of lighting fixture including changing
ballast. Maintains overbed lighting in patient roomms
Maintains and repairs nurse call systems.
Can trouble shoot plumbing problems and provide reapirs to same.
Including drains, faucets, showers and sinks.
Can sut down and turn on fire alarm systems in the proper
sequence without supervision.
Can shut down and setup elevators. Demonstrates the proper
procedure for removal of patients visitors or staff from stalled or
malfunctioning elevators.
Can work independately on nights and week-ends.
Communicates effectively to fellow staff and supervision.
Performs routine maintenance functions such as mounting of
shelving, pictures. Keeps work area clean. Works in a safe manner.
Actively participates in snow removal effort when required.
