Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the Metal Fabrication industry, located in the Quad Cities. This role involves significant responsibility in managing and processing accounting activities, including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger management.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the general ledger
• Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Carry out balance sheet reconciliation to confirm account balances are correct
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Oversee month-end close processes
• Work closely with the team to enhance and streamline the accounting process
• Use NetSuite for various accounting operations
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for data analysis and reporting tasks.
• Experience in Account Reconciliation is necessary to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• A strong understanding of Balance Sheet Reconciliation is essential for maintaining the integrity of the company's financial statements.
• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is needed to verify the company's cash position with that of the bank's records.
• Expertise in managing General Ledger is expected for recording all the company's financial transactions.
• Experience in creating Journal Entries is necessary for recording business transactions and preparing financial statements.
• In-depth knowledge of Month End Close procedures is vital for timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Experience with NetSuite software is beneficial for efficient financial data management and reporting.
• Relevant industry experience in Metal Fabrication would be advantageous.
• Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed to interact effectively with team members and other departments.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is expected.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required; Master's Degree is preferred.
