Title and Summary

Director, EEMEA Acceptance Commercialisation

Overview:

In partnership with the regional Acceptance Product team and cross-functional partners, Acceptance Commercialisation works to expand merchant acceptance, optimise existing locations to increase usage and drive uplift in defined key segments, helping merchants and acquirers grow their businesses through Acceptance solutions and programs. Acceptance is a foundational pillar of Mastercard’s success, complementing our technology, franchise, brand and customer relationships to support and grow Mastercard’s network.

The Director, EEMEA Acceptance Commercialisation is a high-exposure role, working alongside senior leadership and executive teams to shape EEMEA’s acceptance strategy, lead projects that drive Acceptance priorities and advance opportunities to grow. The role requires a unique combination of strategic thinking, project management, and analytics. The Director requires an agile and flexible approach as you will work alongside a wide range of cross-functional partners to define and pursue Regional Acceptance priorities.

Role Overview

• Own the strategy, relationship and commercialization workstreams for our Acceptance business

• Establish and maintain ongoing communications with internal and external stakeholders, related partners and third party networks and collaboration hubs as needed.

• Define the commercialization strategy and execution to help our internal and external partnerships launch successful acceptance solutions.

• Gather requirements and learnings for our internal Product and Strategy teams to innovate and strengthen our solutions.

• Build and maintain senior management relationships within the key partner and customer relationships.

• Creation distribution and communication of Thought Leadership/Best Practice Sharing

• Draft and keep current go-to-market materials such as bulletins, sales, and training materials to support new and enhanced products in Central Hub

• Own the creation of Sales training, collateral & Marketing initiatives to elevate awareness and adoptions of Acceptance products.

• Regional and Market Execution Support: for distribution partners’ discussions and RFPs

• Full commercialisation and business support for Acceptance solutions and Products such as TOP , Cloud Commerce , QR L2P, etc.. , market engagement support , GTM , Customer facing and KPI accountability

• Ensuring consistent Acceptance products narrative across teams (regional and globally)

• Ability to work in a matrix organization and influence various teams at the global and local level; key stakeholders include CSC, Product Acceptance leads, Legal, Finance, Market Development, Account Management, Customer Experience, Marketing, and other product teams

Knowledge/Experience:

• Strong commercialisation and problem-solving acumen

• Proven sales, negotiation, communication skills

• Strong strategic accumen

• Team player, comfortable working in a large matrix organization, willing to lead and build consensus

• Excellent understanding of acceptance and products

• Good business and GTM proven experience

• Determined to get things done on time

• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where rapid or sudden changes are not unusual

• Outstanding project management skills

• MBA or equivalent a plus
