Maintenance Electrician

Description:

International Paper’s Biglerville, PA Corrugated Box Plant, 136 E. York Street, Biglerville, PA is accepting online applications for a Maintenance Electrician.

Position Details:

• Second Shift: 6PM-6AM

• Schedule is 4 days on, followed by 4 days off

• Starting Rate: $33.03/hr (plus $0.75 shift differential)

• Perform a variety of activities to maintain plant equipment and facilities in optimum operating condition including:

• Scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency/break down reports and maintenance (lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components, observing operations, vibrations & noise levels)

• Following all safety rules and practices

• Referencing equipment manuals and other technical literature

• Contacting & working with vendors and sub-contractors

• Accurately using measurement and testing equipment

• Performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system and other repairs and installations as needed

• Safely operating the boiler

• Accurately & completely preparing & maintaining maintenance records

• Troubleshooting & solving problems

• Maintaining teamwork with other associates

• Keeping supervision informed of problems & other maintenance situations

• Performing other maintenance duties, as assigned

Requirements:

• Candidates must successfully complete an online Non-Technical General Maintenance Test, an online Technical Electrician Test and an Interview

• Employment Offers are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment Health Assessment, Drug Screen and Background Check prior to starting work

• Ability to read, write and speak English

• Well-rounded electrical, mechanical & machine shop skills and experience

• Ability to learn and follow instructions
