Job Description
Bring your passion for driving the maturing of new manufacturing technologies, product and processes to provide industrialization of mould component manufacturing!
Core Responsibilities
Represent mould manufacturing area within the design face of moulds, development of new mould types and implementation of new features
Securing Design for Manufacturing but still with and outlook at the hole value chain to understand the brother perspective
Introduce Global colleague to best practice in Manufacturing Product Introduction, secured in Handover meetings etc.
Ensure execution of different projects in the Manufacturing Product Introduction and collaboration with key collaborators in the company, as well as drive the strategic alignment of these projects in accordance with the strategic priorities for Engineering.
Facilitate and drive relationships with key strategic partners and suppliers to ensure competitive advantage.
Work with other team members to support the team´s Key Performance Indicators and reach the goals of the organization.
Contribute to the department's future development and workflows. Will be a “Go To” person for the department and collaborators, when there is technical issue that require deep knowledge.
Understand and analyse our capabilities based on data to ensure the right improvements going forward to secure our overall Key Performance Indicators.

Mould Manufacturing Development is a key development partner in the LEGO Group, where focus is to make special components to our key moulds for internal manufacturing of LEGO components.
Manufacturing Product Introduction department is a global provider of production data to our internal mould manufacturing sides. We are functional responsible for analyzing and providing production data to Insert factory shopfloor. This includes using of the state-of-the-art technology and software, within manufacturing of high-end mould components, to ensure a reliable and highly industrialized production environment, of single piece production.
Do you have what it takes
Proven experience within Mould Manufacturing from roles such as a Mould designer, Production Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Background as Industrial technician or Toolmaker (Swiss/German/Danish model)
On top of that, we are looking for someone with:
Deep knowledge about moulds and mould manufacturing, and about manufacturing value chain from the mould making industry, preferably from a large company
Experience and knowledge within Design for Manufacturing
Experience with Project Management
Drive and support LEAN activities with a systematic approach for continuous improvement.
Knowledge about high-end manufacturing methods
Proficiency in English and can communicate on all levels in the organization.
The position is based in Billund, DK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
