Snelling is currently recruiting for aProduction Supervisorin the Hoover area who will be responsible for the day-to-day direction and motivation of the staff workers. Shift Schedule:1st shift will be your main schedule, but must be open for all 3 shifts. Starting Salary:$70,000-90,000k, depending on experience

Responsibilities and Duties for Production Supervisor:

• Directs and coordinates the activities of employees.
• Reads and analyzes charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
• Assist with planning work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
• Demonstrates equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees or assign employees to experienced workers for training.
• Observes work, and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production standards.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
• Analyzes information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Assist with specific production goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and meet customer requirements.
• Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
• Reviews processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
• Devises ways to make the production process more efficient.
• Recommends training programs or reorganization techniques for the manufacturing process.

Qualifications for Production Supervisor

• 2-3 years experience in leadership or management
• Must have stand-up forklift experience
• Basic computer knowledge
• Bilingual is a PLUS
• Basic computer skills
• Must be willing to travel oversees for training
