Cook Medical Maintenance Manager in Bloomington, Indiana

Overview

The Facilities Manager is responsible for coordinating and providing custodial and maintenance services/repairs for the facility, property, building and grounds. The Facilities Manager manages day-to-day operations and provides leadership and direction to the functional team.

Responsibilities

Leads the Equipment Maintenance Department and personnel for tube Manufacturing facility with 24/7 operations. Directs the repair, preventive maintenance, modification, and installation of manufacturing equipment. Ensures equipment is operating at peak efficiency to facilitate maximum productivity. Initiates and executes projects to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency, of manufacturing and support equipment.

Assure the optimal functioning of building systems including mechanical, fire/life safety, etc.- Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance and repair of the facility using maintenance, calibration, custodial staff.- Coordinate and schedule vendors/contractors for routine maintenance and repair of the facility, utilities and process equipment as needed.- Manage and train maintenance, custodial and support employees in the maintenance of buildings and grounds.- Ensure workplace safety and security within CFR, IDEM, EPA, OSHA, ISO standards across all areas, and assures compliance with other related codes/regulations.- Ensure that the facility consistently represents the company through the most efficient use of resources.- Conduct performance reviews of direct reports.- Must maintain company quality and quantity standards Mentor and support development of team.- Make recommendations for staff and equipment and have significant input into personnel matters.- Review and approve documentation, expense reports and vendor invoices, etc.- Foster and maintain a workplace culture respectful and supportive of individual differences.- Must maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth.- Adhere to the Quality Management System and its processes to meet FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements

Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization.- Must strictly adhere to safety requirements.- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.- Must maintain company quality and quantity standards.- Must have effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative and independent work situations and environments withminimal supervision.- Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Associates, BS degree in facilities management or Sciences preferred or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background.- Minimum of 5 years experience in facility/maintenance leadership, or management is strongly preferred.- Strong knowledge of appropriate CFR, cGMP, ISO, USP, EPA and OSHA standards.- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, etc.) and CMMS.- Must have effective oral and written communication skills.
