HP Inc. Business Planning, Operational Forecasting and Performance Manager in Boise, Idaho

Consumer Services and Solutions (CSS) is a growing subscriptions business and top priority for HP. The Business Performance, Planning, and Channel Compensation team is looking for an analytical, business minded, collaborative and self-starting candidate to develop All-In Plans hardware and subscriber forecasts and business insights tools.

This position will be responsible for the new exciting Print and PC as a Service Consumer offers. Our team is part of the Subscriber Growth's Insights and Analytics organization, and we are at the intersection of enabling today's consumer services business management and planning for the long term strategy. We collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to develop short term enrollee forecasts, 5-year strategic enrollee forecasts, forecast driver models, business dashboards, and financial projections. Qualified candidates will have a growth mindset, aptitude for always learning, experience working on complex problems of diverse scope requiring in-depth evaluation and solution implementation, collaborating, and taking initiative. Advanced data modeling and business knowledge is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Forecast Development

  • Develops 18-month Print as a Services (PaaS) and PC as a Service (PCaaS) hardware unit detailed plans by SKU, Month, and Country used to drive consumer Print and PC partner owned hardware demand and supply plans.

  • Develops short term PaaS and PCaaS enrollee (subscriber) detailed forecasts for partner owned Flash financial planning and Supplies Operations integration.

  • Develops forecasts using a combination of statistics, individual driver models, historic understanding, business understanding, business strategy, and judgement.

  • Collaborates with CSS Go To Market, CSS Strategy & Portfolio Planning, CSS Customer Success, Hardware Demand, Hardware Planning, and Hardware Supply Chain operations planning to align on monthly Hardware and enrollee plans.

  • Drives the collection, cleaning, preprocessing of large datasets to develop business forecasts and derive meaningful insights.

  • Writes programs to automate data collection and processing.

  • Construct highly complex mathematical and assumption-based models to forecast monthly hardware plans, new subscribers, subscription churn, subscription upgrades, warranty replacements, and cumulative subscriptions.

  • Identifies cutting-edge tools, models, and methods for recurring and ad-hoc modeling

  • Develops tools and processes to monitor and forecast accuracy, communicates insights and performance gaps effectively, and identifies actionable recommendations.

  • Owns weekly business performance reporting and ad-hoc analysis, highlighting key metrics and insights that inform business decisions.

  • Builds data visualization tools, dashboards, and reports to drive business insights that lead to action.

  • Establishes the metrics required to measure business performance.

Education and Experience Required

  • 3-10 years Operations and Supply Chain Forecasting and Demand Planning Experience. Specific experience in HP PC Hardware and Accessories highly desired.

  • Bachelor's, Master's or PHD degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.

  • Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in data analytics, database management, statistical analysis, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications

  • Programming Language/s Certification (SQL, Python, or similar)

Knowledge

  • Data visualization such as Power BI and ThoughtSpot.

  • Relational based systems and writing complex SQL.

  • Coding languages like Python, Scala & Java.

  • Big Data Distributed systems such as Databricks.

  • Utilizing different forecasting and planning tools like Anaplan and coding tools.

  • Print, PC, and/or consumer subscription business experience.

The base pay range for this role is $104,800 to $158,250 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
